OVERVIEW OF POSITION: Leads the technical direction and hands-on development of AI software team products and solutions. Focusing on strategic product leadership and the deep technical execution, designing and implementing deploying generative AI solutions . Responsible for development and utilization of including custom agents, copilot applications, and intelligent automation. Serves as primary technical expert working directly with code management , APIs, and AI frameworks while defining product roadmaps. Establishes and maintains engineering best practices, repository management, best software and development practice development and oversight. Knowledge of tolls including standards using GitHub repository, Copilot Studio and, Azure DevOps Azure AI Foundry in support of internal product development. Contributes to the advancement of intelligent automation and AI/ML capabilities across business operations, ensuring scalable, efficient, and compliant solutions. Requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams and adherence to engineering best practices within an agile development environment., and Copilot Studio. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Technology, or related technical field. OR minimum 6 years experience as a software engineer.
Minimum 10 years combined experience in IT/software development.
Minimum 6 years full-stack development experience including frontend technologies, backend development, DevOps practices, and unit testing.
Minimum 2 years experience integrating AI into applications.
Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript with strong React skills including component architecture, state management, and responsive design.
Backend development experience with server-side programming, database design, RESTful APIs, and WebSocket implementations.
Extensive experience with API design, integration, and management.
Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Python, Java, C++, or similar.
Proficiency with PowerShell for scripting and automation.
Proficiency with Linux command line and terminal.
Experience with voice AI solutions and conversational interfaces.
Experience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, and AI/ML platforms.
Experience with Copilot Studio and Microsoft Power Platform.
Understanding of NLP, prompt engineering, and AI model optimization.
Demonstrated experienced with AI tools, frameworks, and advanced prompting techniques.
Experience writing unit tests and performing end-to-end testing.
Proficiency with SCRUM/Agile methodology and SDLC best practices.
Highly skilled with Git including branching strategies and code review processes.
Highly experienced with project administration tools.
Deep understanding of responsive design and mobile-first development.
Deep understanding of WCAG and accessibility best practices.
Capable of creating visual diagrams, wireframes, and mockups.
Strong technical writing for documentation including architecture diagrams, API specifications, and implementation guides.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with independent initiative.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance requirements.
Understanding of data privacy, security, and governance principles.
Able to obtain and maintain a criminal record/fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation per Easterseals Southern California (ESSC) and/or program requirements.
Must pass all drug testing required by ESSC.

Responsibilities

Leads hands-on development of AI agents, copilot applications, and custom solutions from concept to production.
Evaluates and coordinates key technical decisions on frameworks, tools, platforms, and AI product development approaches.
Creates technical documentation including feature strategy, incremental build plans, and implementation roadmaps.
Develops custom applications that integrate AI functionality through agent architectures and service endpoints.
Designs and implements complex API integrations with OpenAI, Salesforce, and other AI models, data sources, and business systems.
Builds solutions using Azure AI Foundry, Copilot Studio, and AI/ML frameworks.
Constructs and maintains data pipelines for model training, evaluation, and deployment.
Optimizes AI/ML models for performance, scalability, and reliability.
Establishes code management, repository standards, and development workflows using Github and Azure DevOps.
Ensures solutions meet HIPAA compliance and regulatory standards.
Maintains agile development practices including sprint planning, stand-ups, and milestone delivery.
Actively participates in DevOps tasks including CI/CD pipeline configuration, container deployment, infrastructure management, and production monitoring.
Communicates clearly across technical and non-technical audiences, presenting compelling cases for recommendations.
Performs other duties as needed to support organizational priorities.
