About The Position

We are seeking a motivated undergraduate co-op student to serve as a AI Strategy Research Assistant supporting the Head of AI & Data Solutions. This role is designed for a student eager to learn the fundamentals of Business Strategy within the tech industry. Your mission is to assist in gathering market intelligence and data that will inform our execution plan for Fiscal Year 2027 (FY27). You will support the team in investigating the global AI landscape and compiling comparative data on various AI tools and vendors. Co-op term: May 2026 to August 2026 full-time hours Why Us? The Core Mission: The Four Strategic Pillars Success in this role is defined by providing high-quality research support across four core strategic pillars for FY27: Internal Efficiencies: Researching how Agentic workflows and LLM integration can transform operational velocity. Revenue Generation: Identifying and modeling new AI-driven monetization strategies, premium features, and data-as-a-service opportunities. New Areas of Opportunity (External): Scouting "blue-ocean" markets where our unique data and AI capabilities can disrupt existing industries. Technical & Tooling Groundwork: Assessing the global vendor and open-source landscape to ensure our underlying AI infrastructure is future-proofed and cost-optimized.

Requirements

  • Current MBA Candidate: Enrolled in an MBA program. Backgrounds in Engineering, CS, or Data Science prior to your MBA are highly valued but not required.
  • Strategic Mindset: You can bridge the gap between technical capability and business value. You speak the language of "Value Drivers" and "Competitive Moats."
  • AI Literacy: You have a strong grasp of the current AI landscape (LLMs, RAG, Agentic AI, Vector Databases) and can navigate technical discussions without being a coder.
  • Exceptional Communicator: You possess the ability to distill complex technical research into high-impact, executive-level slide decks and narratives.
  • Independent Operator: You are comfortable with ambiguity and have the discipline to drive four major research projects to completion with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Market Research: Perform secondary research on AI trends, competitor product features, and emerging industry benchmarks.
  • Data Analysis: Assist in organizing data and updating financial models to help calculate potential ROI for new projects.
  • Landscape Mapping: Identify and catalog AI vendors and open-source tools that align with our strategic goals.
  • Reporting Support: Assist in drafting summaries and creating visualizations for internal strategy presentations.
