Overview: The AI Solution Architect is accountable for end-to-end solution architecture for DXC’s AI Workbench deployed on private or hybrid infrastructure. This role designs secure, scalable AI platforms and establishes architectural guardrails across infrastructure, data pipelines, LLM/agent orchestration, integrations, and operations to meet enterprise standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in solution or cloud architecture with experience delivering enterprise platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with private/hybrid cloud and container platforms (Kubernetes/OpenShift).
  • Strong security architecture experience (IAM, network segmentation, encryption, key management, logging/monitoring).
  • Experience designing data platforms/pipelines and supporting analytics/ML workloads.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and ability to translate business needs into technical architectures.
  • Active DOD Secret Clearance required.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with LLM/GenAI architectures, RAG, vector databases, and evaluation techniques.
  • Experience with GPU infrastructure and performance optimization for model inference.
  • Familiarity with MLOps/LLMOps practices and CI/CD for AI workloads.
  • Industry experience in regulated environments (public sector, healthcare, financial services, defense).

Responsibilities

  • Lead architecture design for Private AI + AI Workbench implementations, including compute (GPU), networking, storage, identity, and platform services.
  • Define reference architectures for agentic AI patterns (agent runtime, orchestration, tool/API access, memory, and lifecycle management).
  • Design Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures: ingestion, chunking, embeddings, vector databases, retrieval strategy, and evaluation approach.
  • Establish security-by-design controls: Zero Trust principles, RBAC/ABAC, encryption in transit/at rest, secrets management, tenant segregation, and audit logging.
  • Own integration design for enterprise systems (APIs, eventing, MCP-style registries/connectors), ensuring reliability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Define non-functional requirements (availability, resiliency, DR, latency, scalability) and align with ITIL/operational processes.
  • Create architecture artifacts: HLD/LLD, data flow diagrams, threat models, runbooks, and operational handover documentation.
  • Guide engineering teams through design reviews, implementation choices, and technical decision logs; mentor on best practices.
  • Support model/LLM selection and deployment patterns (private LLM endpoints, model gateways), ensuring governance and cost controls.
