About The Position

At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable. As part of a passionate team of specialists and engineers, you will directly impact our mission by building innovative applications and optimizing critical processes using the latest AI and Large Language Model (LLM) technologies. As a Software Developer focused on Artificial Intelligence, you join us to build the next generation of software that powers Blue Origin's New Glenn orbital launch vehicle. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams across the New Glenn program to help us find opportunities where AI can accelerate development, enhance data analysis, and streamline complex workflows. Every day, you will apply your software development skills to design, build, and integrate AI-powered solutions. You will take a leading role in applying generative AI to solve real-world aerospace challenges, from building and manufacturing to mission operations. For this role, your day-to-day activities will focus on designing and developing software applications that integrate with LLMs and other AI models. You will be responsible for building prototypes, implementing backend services, and creating tools that leverage AI to process and analyze engineering data. You will work closely with senior engineers to deploy these applications, manage API integrations with various AI services, and help ensure the reliability and effectiveness of the solutions you build. As a member of the team, your contributions will directly enhance the efficiency and innovation of our New Glenn development efforts. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!
