About The Position

As AI transforms how people search and discover information, Manychat is investing in the future of SEO. We're building a world-class team to ensure our brand shows up everywhere discovery happens — not just in traditional search, but across emerging AI-powered platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google SGE. We’re looking for an AI Search Specialist to lead the way in this new category. You’ll work directly with our Global Head of SEO, and collaborate with our technical SEO lead, SEO writer, and broader content and PR teams. You’ll help ensure our content is structured, cited, and surfaced inside AI-generated answers across platforms — with a special focus on briefing, formatting, and content signals that improve our visibility in LLM responses.

Requirements

• 3–6 years of experience in SEO or content strategy, ideally in a content-rich environment
• Strong experience writing SEO content briefs or guiding editorial direction for blog content
• Curiosity about how AI search engines retrieve and display information — and a desire to build the playbook from scratch
• Familiarity with tools like ChatGPT (Browse), Perplexity, Gemini, and Google SGE
• Working knowledge of SEMrush, Clearscope, MarketMuse, Surfer SEO, Ahrefs, and Google Search Console
• A deep understanding of content structure, keyword intent, and how to optimize content for both search engines and humans
• The ability to collaborate with writers, editors, and technical stakeholders

Nice To Haves

• Experience working on schema, structured data, or content that ranks for featured snippets
• Experience in SaaS or editorial SEO at scale

Responsibilities

• Own our visibility strategy across AI-powered search engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google SGE, Gemini, Claude, and others
• Write detailed, SEO- and AI-optimized content briefs that help our writers create highly citeable, structured, and semantically relevant content
• Analyze how Manychat appears (or doesn’t appear) in AI-generated answers — and lead experiments to improve citation frequency
• Collaborate with our Technical SEO Specialist to ensure schema, formatting, and page structure support retrieval by AI models
• Partner with our SEO Writer and Head of Content to ensure every blog post aligns with entity-driven, LLM-friendly content strategies
• Monitor competitors’ visibility in AI-generated results and reverse-engineer their positioning
• Contribute to internal best practices and playbooks for how we brief, write, and structure content in an AI-first SEO world
• Stay on top of changes in AI tools and how they impact discovery, summarization, and source trust
