About The Position

This position designs and implements data analysis pipelines for data science and machine learning / artificial intelligence (AI) to meet specifications of faculty or senior staff either independently or in collaboration with research staff, trainees, and fellows.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree OR four years of machine learning, AI, informatics or related experience OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred degrees include mathematics, statistics, computer science, artificial intelligence, informatics, engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Uses modern programming languages running on UNX (Unix-like) operating systems with best practices such as version control, unit tests, and comments.
• Works with sensitive data in secure environments and adheres to legal frameworks that govern the data (e.g., HIPAA-compliance).
• Designs and maintains study databases (including relational databases and data lakes) to satisfy research project needs.
• Creates and maintains documentation of new and existing analysis pipelines to facilitate knowledge transfer.
• Contributes to research dissemination materials such as manuscripts and presentations and to research design materials, such as project proposals.
• Performs project management or lab management duties according to well-defined specifications.
• May collaborate with on-premises computing professionals to configure and maintain physical systems, if needed.
• May supervise undergraduate trainees.
• Performs related responsibilities as required.
