About The Position
The PittNAIL Lab, led by Dr. Yanshan Wang, is seeking an AI Research Scientist to develop advanced AI methodologies for healthcare applications, including clinical NLP, large language models (LLMs), multimodal modeling, and multi-agent AI systems. The scientist will lead methodological innovation and translational implementation across NIH-funded and industry-supported projects in areas such as AI-enabled clinical decision support. Responsibilities include model development, rigorous evaluation, collaboration with clinicians, publication in high-impact venues, and contribution to competitive federal grant proposals.
Requirements
- PhD degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science, Informatics, Engineering, Mathematics or related field.
- Experience with NLP, AI, LLMs
- Expert in one or more programming languages (Java and Python preferred)
- Experience of writing, submitting, and publishing scientific articles
