American Express Travel Related Services Company, Inc. seeks AI Research and Development Leads to drive IT project management involving the research and implementation of AI algorithms, models, and technologies, ensuring alignment with project objectives, timelines, and stakeholder expectations. Coordinate with data scientists and engineers to integrate AI solutions into digital products, overseeing project milestones, deliverables, and quality standards. Plan and monitor the development, testing, and delivery of capabilities, ensuring projects stay within scope, budget, and schedule, working with the relevant technology teams. Define and document project requirements, creating features, user stories, and acceptance criteria to guide development efforts. Establish tracking and reporting mechanisms to measure project performance, identify risks, and drive continuous improvements. Oversee the use of database management and Big Data techniques to identify risks and enhance risk management methodologies within project workflows. Drive competitive assessments and analyze business decisions using predictive analytics, translating data insights into actionable recommendations. Develop and maintain the product roadmap, defining timelines, prioritizing the feature backlog, and managing end-to-end user flows to align with business objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field
• 5 years of progressively responsible experience with automation, AI-driven analytics, cloud-based environments, SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS.
• 1 year of experience with performance tracking, executive reporting, and data visualization for strategic decision-making
• 1 year of experience with process optimization and automation to improve operational efficiency and scalability
• 1 year of experience leading cross-functional projects and supporting organizational development initiatives
• 1 year of experience applying Agile and Scrum methodologies across digital product lifecycles
• 1 year of experience implementing machine learning solutions, Big Data analytics, and modernizing legacy Mainframe systems
• 1 year of experience with Rally, Jira, Confluence, Mural, Smartsheet, IntelliJ, GitHub, Postman, PostgreSQL, Tableau, Power BI RESTful APIs, R-studio, Cornerstone DB, Splunk, and SAFe Studio.
