Ulliman Schutte is seeking a motivated AI Process Improvement Specialist to help revolutionize our construction operations through artificial intelligence and automation.   • Analyze current construction workflows to identify opportunities for AI-powered automation and efficiency improvements
  • Research and evaluate AI platforms, tools, and APIs (such as OpenAI, Claude, and other enterprise solutions) to determine best fit for specific use cases
  • Design and develop custom AI applications for construction-specific tasks including submittal review, estimating assistance, document processing, contract analysis, and proposal writing
  • Build and maintain integrations between AI tools and existing systems like CMiC construction management software
  • Create user-friendly interfaces and workflows that enable non-technical staff to leverage AI capabilities
  • Document AI implementations, develop training materials, and provide support to employees adopting new AI-powered processes
  • Monitor AI solution performance, gather user feedback, and continuously refine applications for better results
  • Stay current with rapidly evolving AI technologies and recommend new opportunities for implementations.
  • Strong understanding of AI concepts including large language models, prompt engineering, and API integration
  • Demonstrated ability to work with AI platforms (OpenAI API, Claude API, or similar services)
  • Basic programming skills in at least one language (Python, JavaScript, C#, or similar)
  • Analytical mindset with ability to break down complex processes and identify improvement opportunities
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and willingness to experiment with new approaches
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Self-motivated learner who stays current with emerging AI technologies and best practices
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively
  • Experience building applications using AI APIs or developing custom GPTs/AI assistants
  • Familiarity with construction industry workflows, terminology, and software systems
  • Knowledge of OCR, document processing, or data extraction technologies
  • Experience with web development frameworks or low-code/no-code platforms
  • Understanding of failover architecture and enterprise AI deployment considerations
  • Background in process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Experience with construction management software or ERP systems
