About The Position

This hands-on engineering role is responsible for designing, building, and implementing AI-powered workflow automation solutions to drive operational and financial value across Infrastructure Operations. The AI Process Engineer will lead technical initiatives, deliver scalable automation, and serve as a subject matter expert for workflow automation and AI integration across ICE’s mission-critical environments. The role requires excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in engineering or process automation roles.
  • Minimum 2 years of direct, hands-on experience leading and building AI/automated solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, architect, build, and deploy workflow automations at scale.
  • Strong knowledge of two or more workflow orchestration tools such as n8n, PowerAutomate, Copilot Studio, and Moveworks.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML concepts, prompt engineering, and vector databases.
  • Programming skills in JavaScript and Python.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ServiceNow, Polar, BigPanda, and/or other enterprise tools.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean/Six Sigma, Agile, etc.).
  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry (banking, aerospace, automotive, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of AI and automation projects, from ideation and requirements gathering through deployment and monitoring.
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust workflows in collaboration with other engineers and business users.
  • Serve as the technical SME for AI workflow automation, providing guidance on best practices.
  • Gather and apply lessons learned from organizational feedback, ensuring continuous improvement in AI build initiatives.
  • Ensure that all automation solutions comply with ICE’s security, compliance, and change management standards.
