Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in technical leadership
  • 1+ years of management experience: Demonstrated management experience in managing high-performing teams, with a focus on AI engineering, software development, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills: Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience AI Engineering dicipline and familiarity with Lockheed Martin's AI initiatives
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Go, Python, Java, or C++
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git, GitLab)
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization
  • Experience with large language models, natural language processing, computer vision, or other AI applications
  • Familiarity with model interpretability, explainability, and transparency
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of the aerospace and defense industry
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop creative solutions

Responsibilities

  • Leading a team of AI Factory engineers to set priorities and execute work within the team vision
  • Collaborating with a diverse team of data engineers, AI/ML developers, full stack developers, MLOps teams, and product managers to drive innovation and growth
  • Developing and implementing strategies to drive team performance and achieve business objectives
  • Fostering a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning within the team
