Applicants must reside in the United States to be considered for an interview. Position Summary : This position is responsible for collecting semen and inseminating hens in chicken houses . Inspecting semen to determine quality and quantity for use as well as inspection of hens for evidence of production . Other duties may be assigned. The jobsite is a biosecure environment which requires showering, changing clothing , and footwear before entering the facility . Appropriate clothing and footwear is provided by the Company . No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except for medical ID jewelry and body piercings covered by appropriate clothing . Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid contact with any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.). Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. TM is expected to follow all applicable safety policies and procedures. These include but are not limited to Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, LOTO and Personal Protective Equipment. TM is expected to identify , address and mitigate safety related risks.

Requirements

Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months.
If applicant has been laid off or providing child or elder care, the employment gap will be increased to 18 months.
Previous work history will not apply to applicants who have been full time students consecutively for the last 36 months.
Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.
Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Cobb/Tyson Foods.

Responsibilities

Prepare for insemination process by equipment set up such as: funnel/tip collection, bird platform, step stool, microscope/densimeter, etc. (10%)
R etrieval and meticulous processing of males to collect semen and females to inseminate (50%)
Replace males based on fertility numbers (10%)
Inspection of females for evidence of production (10%)
Utilize microscope/densimeter to determine semen quality; utilize visual to determine semen quantity (10%)
Other duties, responsibilities, and activities: These may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice, such as : washing/disinfection vehicles; sanitize AI breakroom; trim beaks/vents; properly euthanize weak/ill birds in accordance with company policy (10%)
