About The Position

The AI/ML Solutions Development SME operates as an expert in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML), dedicated to designing, implementing, and advocating for advanced cloud solutions for WWT’s most ambitious Cloud customers. This role requires experience driving progress, solving problems with AI/ML, and partnering with WWT and Google teams to differentiate Google Cloud, guide customers and partners, and develop creative cloud solutions and architectures to solve their business challenges.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret SCI clearance with CI Poly.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience building machine learning solutions and working with technical customers.
  • Experience coding in one or more general purpose languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go, C or C++) including data structures, algorithms, and software design.
  • Experience with Machine Learning model development and deployment.
  • Experience with frameworks for deep learning (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Jax, etc.) and using machine learning APIs.
  • Experience working with recommendation engines, data pipelines, or distributed machine learning.
  • Experience in building machine learning solutions and leveraging specific machine learning architectures (e.g., deep learning, LSTM, convolutional networks, etc.).
  • Experience in building and deploying data and Machine Learning (ML) pipelines with a focus on automation.
  • Experience with prompt tuning and delivering successful prototypes.
  • Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.
  • Experience in delivering technical presentations and leading discovery and planning sessions with customers with defined scope and success criteria.
  • Experience designing cloud enterprise solutions and supporting customer projects to completion.
  • Approximately 20% travel for meetings, technical reviews, and onsite delivery activities, or travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced Education: Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with Gemini and Vertex AI.
  • Experience in architecting and developing software or infrastructure for scalable, distributed systems.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, including technical architectures, infrastructure components, ETL/ELT, and reporting/analytic tools and environments (e.g., Apache Beam, Hadoop, Spark, Pig, Hive, MapReduce, Flume).
  • Experience in understanding customer’s existing software workloads, with the ability to define a technical migration roadmap to the cloud reflecting specific customer needs.
  • Ability to learn quickly, understand, and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the cloud/IT technology space.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with WWT program personnel, Google Public Sector teams, and WWT customers to provide consulting, scoping, planning, quoting, and technical expertise that aligns with complex customer requirements.
  • Be a trusted technical advisor to customers and solve complex machine learning issues.
  • Work with Google and WWT teams to design and implement customized artificial intelligence agents and machine learning solutions to support customer use cases, leveraging core Google products including Gemini and Vertex AI.
  • Work with customers to identify opportunities to apply AI/ML in their business.
  • Help prospective and existing customers understand the differentiating factors of the Google Cloud platform’s power.
  • Work directly with Google Cloud products to demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer environments.
  • Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution on Google Cloud.
  • Engage in proofs-of-concept (POCs), troubleshoot technical questions and roadblocks, and develop solutions to resolve technical blockers.
  • Coach customers on the practical issues in machine learning systems such as feature extraction and feature definition, data validation, monitoring, and management of features and models.
  • Share in-depth AI/ML expertise to support the technical relationship with customers, including technology advocacy, supporting bid responses, and product and solution briefings.
  • Overall Program Support: Assist where needed to keep the overall program successful.
