Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Embedded AI/ML Subject Matter Expert (SME) to advise the government on CONOPs and design implementations of how to deploy AI algorithms onto tactical edge hardware platforms. In this role you will report onsite with the government customer, as well as Parsons corporate locations as needed. The AI/ML SME will work with Project Lead to advise and coordinate resources toward reaching project milestones. This position requires knowledge of warfighting functions and how to design cutting edge technologies, like AI/ML, into current user workflows. The AI/ML SME will assess market solutions for best fit into a prototype design and/or engage with engineering teams to ensure integration is aligned with the government’s requirements. The AI/ML SME will interface with the government customer to communicate progress on project milestones and address risk and lessons learned as prototyping continues. The AI/ML SME will utilize knowledge in algorithmic development in languages such as: Python, JavaScript, HTML, etc. The AI/ML SME will assist the government customer and Project Lead by traveling for exercises and mission-partner engagements both inside and outside the continental United States.

  • Advise the government on CONOPs and design implementations of AI algorithms onto tactical edge hardware platforms.
  • Work with Project Lead to coordinate resources toward reaching project milestones.
  • Assess market solutions for best fit into prototype design.
  • Engage with engineering teams to ensure integration aligns with government requirements.
  • Interface with government customer to communicate project progress and address risks.
  • Utilize knowledge in algorithmic development in languages such as Python, JavaScript, HTML.
  • Travel for exercises and mission-partner engagements as required.
  • Experience with mission requirements capture in at least two of the following: ISR, geospatial intelligence, data analysis and mission planning.
  • Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI & CI Poly eligibility which requires US citizenship.
  • 4 years experience in applied mathematical, algorithmic, or artificial intelligence/machine learning capabilities and strategies.
  • Technical or Business degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the customer network in one or more of the following: NGA, US Army, OSD, SOCOM, US Marine Corps, DIA, DIU.
  • Willingness and ability to travel, as required, 10-20%.
  • Coding proficiency in various languages & development environments.
  • Experience with artificial intelligence and its application to government customer requirements and mission-sets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Background in developing or integrating AI/ML technologies into operational environments.
  • Experience with DoD/IC programmatic support preferred.
  • Ability to translate mission requirements into technical requirements for input to project leads and milestone tracking.
  • Basic understanding of software, data science, artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts.
  • Demonstrates ability to influence, inspire trust and establish & sustain credibility.
  • Previous experience working with multiple IC/DoD partners.
