About The Position

SAIC is seeking a AI Machine Learning Engineer to help transition to new Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies, modernizing current collection processes. In this role you will be expected to train machine learning models and provide support for the productization and development of AI-based systems for use as part of the Customer's collection mechanisms. This Customer Office is the force of choice for the development of global infrastructure and delivery of solutions that drive influence operations. This position is in Chantilly, VA and requires an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph.
• Bachelors in computer science, information systems, or a related field and 9 years or more experience; Masters and 7 years or more experience; PhD or JD and 4 years or more experience.
• Demonstrated experience in understanding and automating customer workflows and business processes with AI solutions.
• Demonstrated experience in data structures, data modeling, and software architecture.
• In-depth experience and knowledge of machine learning tools and frameworks such as PyTorch and Tensorflow.
• Extensive math and computer science skills, with a deep understanding of probability, statistics, and algorithms.
• Ability to program in AI/ML specific languages, such as Python, Java, C++, and Conda.
• Experience training AI models and integrating pre-trained models into dataflows and software architectures.

• Experience implementing secure AI solutions in the Intelligence Community.
• Ability to work with highly sensitive data sets.
• Experience in leading AI/ML initiatives.
• In-depth knowledge of implementing ETL (Enhance/Transform/Load) pipeline.
• In-depth knowledge in implementing solutions in Amazon Web Services.

Responsibilities

• Train machine learning models in a variety of ways, to meet a variety of functions.
• Synthesize code to be used for automated webscrapes.
• Automate other functions related to webscrapes.
• Detect and 'self-heal' scrapes.
• Automate visual detection of object types within video data.
• Automate review and analysis of terms of service of companies.
• Automate open source collection of data for training AI/ML systems and models.
• Provide model training based on training data acquired from other components.
• Create complete AI-based systems, including multiple inputs, models, human-review processes, outputs, ETL processes, and databases.
• Provide productization and development of AI-based systems for collection mechanisms.
• Support operational elements using these systems, including break fix work and software updates.
• Research AI/ML technologies in open source to ensure cutting-edge technologies are utilized.
• Support collaboration with other elements engaged in AI efforts.
• Frame and scale data problems to analyze, visualize, and find data solutions.
• Develop and support scalable and secure functionality in software applications, integrating AI algorithms.
• Understand business objectives and develop models to achieve them, along with metrics to track progress.
• Derive insights and analytic narratives from data for effective storytelling.
• Analyze technology trends related to AI and ML and their strategic implications.
• Perform independent technical research in relevant areas.
• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to define AI solutions that meet business needs.
• Program a system to seek out specific conditions and respond accordingly.
