About The Position

As the AI Intern at Bert Black Service Companies, you’ll be helping create one. This is a self-driven, hands-on role for someone who’s excited to apply AI in ways that actually move the needle. You’ll have guidance and mentorship from leadership, but the research, prototyping, and execution will be on you. This role is based in Little Rock, Arkansas, with a hybrid work structure (part remote, part on-site).

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or Business Analytics
• Familiarity with Python, SQL, and cloud-based AI services (e.g., OpenAI, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Experience or interest in working with APIs to connect data sources and applications
• Strong problem-solving mindset
• Comfortable communicating with both technical and non-technical team members

Responsibilities

• Designing AI-powered proposal and sales tools for technicians
• Building early-stage models for predictive maintenance and inventory management
• Prototyping customer service tools like chatbots and transcription assistants
• Analyzing job and service data to uncover actionable business insights
• Experimenting with training simulations and upskilling tools powered by AI
