About The Position

The AI Institute Student Intern will play a key role in advancing the University of St. Thomas' AI strategic roadmap under the Institute for AI for the Common Good. Working directly under the Chief Data & Analytics Officer, the intern will support active AI Institute initiatives, assist with research and development, innovation projects, process, and help amplify the visibility of AI across campus. This position is designed for a motivated student interested in incorporating AI across an organization through a technical lens.

Requirements

• Current undergraduate or graduate student at the University of St. Thomas.
• Strong interest in artificial intelligence, data, and emerging technologies.
• Excellent organizational, research, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for Institute for AI for the Common Good initiatives and projects, varying from documentation, communication, creative content, processes, and meeting support.
• Collaborate with working group leaders, stakeholders, and participants in the Institute for AI for the Common Good to move initiatives forward based on needs.
• Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and communications related to AI Institute activities.
• Support data collection, process, and light analysis to inform decision-making for AI research, builds, pilots, and initiatives.
• Maintain project documentation, ensuring clear tracking of goals, milestones, and outcomes.
• Create and maintain KPIs for AI initiatives
• Contribute to social media, website, and communication efforts highlighting AI Institute work.
• Attend and participate in weekly check-ins with the Chief Data & Analytics Officer and project teams.
• Other changing responsibilities as designated or based on changing priorities.
