San Francisco Film School (SFFS) prepares emerging filmmakers and creative professionals through industry-aligned, career-focused education. SFFS seeks a qualified instructor to teach DF 215 AI Filmmaking within the Digital Filmmaking program. This course develops professional competencies in AI-based video generation, prompt engineering, hybrid production workflows, and integration of AI-generated content into industry-standard post-production pipelines. This course investigates the creative and technical possibilities of artificial intelligence as a filmmaking tool. Students explore generative video, image synthesis, and AI-assisted post-production workflows, while developing critical judgment about when and how these technologies serve authentic storytelling. The curriculum addresses prompt design, visual continuity, integration of AI-generated material with live-action footage, and the evolving relationship between human creative vision and machine-generated content. The Instructor for DF 215 AI Filmmaking delivers rigorous, project-based instruction aligned with course outcomes, supports student success through consultation and timely feedback, and maintains accurate academic records. The Instructor reports to the Assistant Dean or Vice President for Academic Affairs and collaborates with SFFS academic leadership to refine the syllabus, learning activities, and assessments as the field evolves.
