The AI Engineer for HealthPlanOne works as part of a cross-functional team that leverages cutting-edge technology to deliver accurate, scalable, and compliant AI-related solutions. This role is responsible for working with multiple departments and end-users, defining technical specifications, implementing algorithms, and ensuring system integration and performance meet project objectives. Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, or a related technical discipline.
  • Basic understanding of natural language processing (NLP), AI, and machine learning concepts and tools.
  • 1 year of experience with scripting languages like python and relevant data processing/visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with regular expression matching.
  • Familiarity with LLMs like ChatGPT - Corporate experience with tools like this is a plus.
  • Familiarity with corporate reporting tools like DOMO.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with CMS regulations and healthcare compliance standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize AI and machine learning (ML) solutions for call transcription scoring, considering scalability and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including compliance officers and operational management, to understand CMS requirements and define project goals and metrics.
  • Work closely with software developers to ensure integration with transcription services, databases, and reporting tools.
  • Lead efforts in building and fine-tuning large language model (LLM) scripts to leverage call transcriptions for analytics purposes, against CMS compliance criteria (e.g. accuracy, relevance).
  • Define and document scoring metrics, thresholds, and model evaluation techniques to ensure accurate and reliable compliance scores.
  • Identify and resolve issues through iterative testing, user feedback, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of the technical processes, accuracy, compliance adherence, specification updates, and key decisions.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
