About The Position

Our client is a US-based technology company looking for a hands-on AI Engineer to join their newly formed AI Lab. You will work closely with their engineering and product teams to optimize and automate the software development lifecycle using AI tools. Additionally, you will help the team leverage unique data assets for business intelligence and future product development.

Requirements

  • Experience in AI/ML engineering, software engineering, or a related field—Junior candidates are highly welcome!
  • Hands-on experience with AI code generation tools (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot, OpenAI Codex) and integrating their output into large codebases.
  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, QA, and automated testing.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS), and familiarity with SaaS architectures.
  • Proficiency in at least one of: .NET (C#), React, React Native, or Python.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with distributed teams.
  • Ability to work with partial overlap to US Eastern Time (New York time zone, until at least 2–3 pm EST).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with data engineering, data pipelines, or business intelligence is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with agent-based development, prompt engineering, and AI workflow optimization is highly desirable.
  • Experience with large-scale enterprise codebases.
  • Knowledge of construction tech or workforce management domains.
  • Experience with anomaly detection, real-time data processing, or IoT data.
  • Exposure to LLM fine-tuning, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), or similar AI architectures.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate AI-generated code (from tools like Claude and GitHub Copilot) into a 1.1M+ line production codebase, focusing on improving code integration, QA, and velocity.
  • Design, implement, and optimize processes for AI-assisted software development, including prompt engineering, agent workflows, and automated testing.
  • Develop and maintain tools and workflows to streamline code review, testing, and deployment of AI-generated code.
  • Work with stakeholders to define and document current architecture, development practices, and requirements for AI agents.
  • Support the creation of a data pipeline and architecture to enable business intelligence, analytics, and future AI/ML model training on operational data.
  • Explore and implement solutions for anomaly detection and real-time monitoring of operational data (e.g., turnstile and access control logs).
  • Stay up to date with the latest AI/ML and agent-based development practices, and coach the team on best practices and new tools.
  • (Optional/future) Contribute to the development of proprietary models or data products leveraging unique datasets.

Benefits

  • Monthly compensation: Up to 4,000 USD.
  • Working model: 100% Fully Remote setup.
  • Global Scale: An exciting opportunity to join a newly formed AI Lab and make a significant impact on enterprise-level software.
