About The Position

The AI Engineer, Generative AI at Weyerhaeuser will leverage generative AI technologies to create and implement low-code/no-code solutions across various business units. This role focuses on optimizing processes, improving data accessibility, and enabling insights through collaboration with business stakeholders and technical teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in generative AI and a passion for innovation, contributing to the company's digital transformation efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; advanced degrees in AI or machine learning are a plus.
• 2 years of experience with generative AI models, tools, and frameworks, and a track record of building AI solutions for business use cases.
• Hands-on experience with low-code/no-code platforms (e.g., Power Apps, UiPath) for rapid application development.
• Strong understanding of software development principles, API integration, and IT systems; familiarity with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
• Ability to analyze complex problems, design solutions, and improve AI model performance based on feedback and data.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of ethical considerations and governance frameworks to ensure responsible AI usage within the organization.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and stay current with advances in AI, low-code/no-code development, and industry trends.

Responsibilities

• Develop Generative AI Solutions: Build AI-powered systems and applications using low-code/no-code platforms to meet specific business needs in areas such as timberlands, wood products, and corporate functions.
• Collaborate with Business Stakeholders: Engage with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into generative AI solutions that solve real-world challenges.
• Optimize Business Processes: Use AI tools to automate workflows, enhance data accessibility, and improve operational efficiency across the organization.
• Ensure High Usability and Adoption: Design solutions with a user-centered approach, ensuring ease of use and adoption by business teams.
• Monitor and Improve AI Models: Regularly evaluate and refine AI models to enhance accuracy, relevance, and performance over time.
• Evangelize Generative AI Capabilities: Promote awareness and understanding of generative AI benefits within Weyerhaeuser, demonstrating how it can drive business value.
• Implement Ethical AI Standards: Ensure responsible AI usage by adhering to ethical guidelines and governance practices across all generative AI initiatives.
• Support Digital Transformation: Contribute to the broader digital transformation efforts by delivering scalable, flexible AI-driven solutions that integrate with existing systems and processes.
