About The Position

Ready for an intern position where you can apply your skills acquired in coursework into a real-world business setting? BISSELL is proactively looking for a paid, undergraduate student to join our Data Strategy & Analytics team.
The AI Enablement team at BISSELL is looking for a curious, motivated Data Science Intern to support our efforts to bring AI-driven insights and capabilities across the organization. In this role, you'll work alongside data scientists and engineers to build, test, and deploy models and tools that help BISSELL make smarter, faster decisions. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience applying data science in a corporate setting while contributing to meaningful projects.

Requirements

• Applicants MUST be currently enrolled at an accredited, four-year university majoring in Data Science or a closely related field. Junior level status preferred.
• 3.0 GPA or greater
• Have ability to self-manage and deliver results in a timely manner
• Works effectively in a team with cross-functional members
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Shows continuous improvement and learning versatility
• Attention to detail and excellent computer skills and aptitude to learn new software

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, training, and evaluating machine learning models to support business use cases across marketing, product development, and operations
• Clean, transform, and analyze large datasets to uncover trends and actionable insights
• Support the build-out of internal AI tools, dashboards, and automated workflows
• Conduct exploratory data analysis and present findings to cross-functional stakeholders
• Research emerging AI/ML techniques and help assess their applicability to BISSELL's business needs
• Collaborate with team members to document processes, model performance, and best practices
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to shared repositories following team standards
