About The Position

AI Data Integration Specialist The Opportunity: Ever-expanding technology like IoT, machine learning (ML), and artificial intelligence (AI) means that there’s more structured and unstructured data available today than ever before. As a data engineer, you know that organizing data can yield pivotal insights when it’s gathered from disparate sources. We need an experienced data engineer like you to help our clients find answers in their data to impact important missions from fraud detection to cancer research, to national intelligence. As a data engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll help build advanced technology solutions and implement data engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the industry. You’ll deploy and develop pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful. Here, you’ll work with and guide a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, agile environment. You’ll use your experience in analytical exploration and data examination while you manage the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable platforms for your clients. Requirements

5+ years of experience in data engineering, data integration, or ML operations roles
Experience working with enterprise data integration challenges in complex technical environments
Experience designing and implementing data pipelines for analytics, AI, or ML applications
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a CS, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering field

Nice To Haves

5+ years of experience with AI and ML, and data requirements for model training, validation, and inference
5+ years of experience with data ingestion and preparation techniques, including ETL or ELT pipeline development
5+ years of experience with data pipeline orchestration tools and frameworks, metadata tagging standards, and data cataloging approaches
5+ years of experience with data classification schemes and minimal data standards for AI and ML readiness
5+ years of experience with data flows, system integrations, and API-based data exchange patterns
5+ years of experience with cloud data platforms and hybrid cloud or on-premises integration patterns
5+ years of experience with SQL and programming languages for data transformation
Experience in the federal government, including within the VA or the Department of Defense
Master’s degree in a CS, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering field
