About The Position

Ericsson is seeking an ambitious AI Data Engineer to join the Americas AI Acceleration Hub, within the Strategic Projects and Transformation Unit, to lead data strategy efforts and fuel AI adoption. This role offers the chance to grow your skills quickly, work closely with senior stakeholders, and anchor yourself in one of the fastest-growing areas of technology. Your work will focus on driving consolidation, cleansing, and establishing scalable data fabrics for generative AI solutions. As a member of the central AI team, you’ll proactively identify gaps, spearhead initiatives, and ensure data readiness to enable impactful AI applications across decentralized teams.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in data engineering or data strategy roles within dynamic, fast-paced settings.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related disciplines.
  • Problem-solving, curiosity, and ability to learn and adapt quickly in evolving technical environments.
  • Agility to tackle gaps and operational challenges across decentralized units.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and big data tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure to create scalable, high-quality data solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Drive data strategy that aligns with AI-driven enterprise priorities, fostering seamless integration of solutions into workflows.
  • Build a coherent data fabric by eliminating fragmentation and establishing scalable, interconnected ecosystems.
  • Prioritize and build solutions for data improvement, bridging gaps for successful generative AI adoption.
  • Lead workshops and sprints to accelerate effective use-case generation, improving operational outcomes.
  • Collaborate across functions (data scientists, program managers, solution architects) to align high-volume data systems with business goals.

  • The Ericsson US 401(k) Plan offers an automatic 3% company contribution and Ericsson matches $1 for every $1 you put into the 401(k) Plan on the first 3% of your eligible pay, plus 50 cents on every $1 on the next 2% of eligible pay. When you contribute at least 5% of eligible pay, you are receiving Ericsson’s full matching contributions. Matching and company automatic contributions stop when your total eligible pay for the year reaches the IRS limits. Employees will also receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of basic life insurance and basic accidental death and dismemberment coverage, as well as short-term and long-term disability coverage. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson’s Stock Purchase Plan.
  • New employees are provided a minimum of 15 days of accrued vacation, up to 3 personal days per year, 11 annual holidays, 8 hours of volunteer time, and 80 hours of sick time annually. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee’s start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
