AI Application Developer Internship
About The Position
iWorks Corporation is seeking an AI Application Developer Intern to join our Emerging Technology Team and contribute to Wingman, an internal AI initiative focused on developing intelligent assistant capabilities for enterprise and federal use cases. This internship offers hands-on experience building AI-powered web applications, integrating machine learning models, and developing modern full-stack solutions. Interns will collaborate with developers, engineers, and data scientists to create features that enhance chatbot functionality, improve user interaction, and support secure document processing. This role is ideal for students interested in AI applications, full-stack development, and emerging agentic AI systems.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in: Computer Science Software Engineering Artificial Intelligence Data Science or a related field
- Basic familiarity with: HTML, CSS, JavaScript React or modern front-end frameworks Python or Node.js
- Building or contributing to web applications
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing web applications and AI interfaces using JavaScript, React, Python, and Node.js
- Support the integration of AI/ML models into chatbot workflows
- Help design and prototype user interfaces for AI-driven tools
- Participate in full-stack development tasks, including backend services and APIs
- Work with developers to integrate secure document handling workflows
- Assist with cloud-based deployments and CI/CD pipelines
- Participate in Agile team meetings and sprint planning
- Research emerging AI technologies, including Agentic AI and AI assistants
- Help test and improve system performance and usability
