About The Position

AI Application Architect Senior creates architectural solutions that articulate the business context, conceptual design, and component-level logical design. How you will make an impact: Contributes to enterprise-wide AI architecture strategy, defining the future state of AI platforms, patterns, and frameworks. Drives hands-on exploration through high-impact POCs/POTs, validating cutting-edge AI frameworks, LLM platforms, orchestration technologies, and scalable retrieval architectures. Contributes to enterprise AI architecture standards, reusable accelerators, and reference implementations to guide engineering adoption. Evaluates emerging AI tools and technologies for applicability and strategic value, providing recommendations for enterprise investment. Architects enterprise-scale RAG, vector indexing, distributed inference, and model-serving architectures. Aligns AI architecture decisions across cross-functional architecture groups (data, cloud, security, app dev). Mentors architects and engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and hands-on technical exploration. Joins executive-level discussions on the future of AI-enabled systems, technical trajectories, and strategic platform choices. Ensures AI solutions adhere to enterprise standards, governance, risk, and compliance frameworks. Recommends new technologies based upon business value drivers and return on investment; drives new technologies towards implementation and exploitation. Establishes overall systems architecture vision and ensures specific components are appropriately designed and leveraged; contributes to the holistic vision of Enterprise Architecture. Defines architecture standards and anticipate areas where architecture standards may need to be developed that are in-line with customer, IT and industry standards. Directs the construction of architecture components (e.g., data architecture, application architecture, technical architecture).

Requirements

• Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 5 years of experience in architecture/design in relevant technology disciplines; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Nice To Haves

• Expert-level understanding of AI architecture, LLM systems, ML Ops platforms, and distributed model execution highly preferred.
• Hands-on experience architecting enterprise-scale AI systems and building advanced prototypes highly preferred.
• Deep experience with orchestration frameworks, RAG pipelines, vector indexing strategies, and LLM lifecycle management highly preferred.
• Ability to compare and select COTS AI platforms, open-source frameworks, and cloud-native AI services highly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to set architectural direction and influence multi-year AI investment highly preferred.
• Thought leadership in AI adoption, responsible AI, and enterprise AI governance highly preferred.
• Passion for exploring and validating emerging technologies, research trends, and next-generation architecture approaches highly preferred.
