The AI and Automation Specialist will play a key role within the IT department, responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing artificial intelligence (AI) and automation solutions that improve operational efficiency, enhance employee productivity, and support business objectives. This role will also serve as a subject-matter expert on emerging AI technologies, ensuring the organization remains informed of advancements, risks, and best practices in the rapidly evolving AI and automation landscape.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in automation, systems integration, or applied AI within an IT or business environment.
  • Hands-on experience implementing automation or workflow solutions in a corporate setting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process-improvement skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • AI & Generative AI Tools: ChatGPT and other large language model (LLM) platforms.
  • Microsoft Copilot (Microsoft 365 Copilot, GitHub Copilot, etc.).
  • Prompt engineering and AI use-case design.
  • Understanding of responsible AI, data privacy, and AI governance.
  • Microsoft Ecosystem: Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Power Automate (cloud flows, desktop flows/RPA).
  • Power Apps (model-driven and canvas apps).
  • Power BI (basic familiarity preferred).
  • Automation & Integration: API integration (REST, JSON, OAuth).
  • Low-code/no-code automation platforms.
  • Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools.
  • Webhooks and connectors.
  • Programming & Technical Skills: Scripting or programming experience (e.g., Python, JavaScript, PowerShell).
  • SQL or data querying fundamentals.
  • Version control (e.g., Git).

Nice To Haves

  • Process mapping and documentation (e.g., BPMN, Visio).
  • Change management and user adoption strategies.
  • Experience working in Agile or project-based environments.
  • Curiosity and continuous learning mindset for emerging technologies.
