MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. Preferred qualifications include completion of relevant AI/ML coursework or bootcamps, along with internship or project experience in artificial intelligence or data analytics. Knowledge: Basic understanding of machine learning principles, AI algorithms, or natural language processing. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential Functions: Assist in the development and evaluation of AI models and algorithms under guidance from senior team members. Collect, clean, and preprocess structured and unstructured data for use in machine learning workflows. Support research initiatives by analyzing data trends and patterns. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver insights. Help document model development processes, experiments, and results. Assist with the integration and deployment of models into production environments. Stay current with emerging AI technologies and tools. Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and municipal policies when handling, compiling, or presenting sensitive information. Utilize Office 365 tools, Python, R, or other AI-driven platforms to analyze, visualize, and present city data in clear, accessible formats. Maintain and enhance data quality by identifying inconsistencies, cleaning datasets, and ensuring accuracy in reporting. Creation of user-friendly data presentations for residents or guests of Norman seeking information electronically through interactive dashboards or public-facing reports and mediums to promote transparency and engagement. Mental and Physical Abilities: Ability to work independently as well as with teams and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines. Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy (25-50 lb). Computer and network equipment occasionally). Ability to maintain regular, predictable and punctual attendance.
