About The Position

The APRN or PA, under the supervision of the Physician(s) who acts as the collaborative practitioner(s), is responsible for performing health assessments including patient history and physical examination in the office setting, primarily in Celebration, FL. The role includes performing diagnostic procedures according to privileges and maintaining a log, ordering, interpreting, and incorporating diagnostic tests, studies, and lab values into the plan of care, and evaluating effectiveness. The APRN or PA formulates appropriate diagnoses based on history, physical examination, and clinical findings, plans and provides care within the framework of policies, unit guidelines, and privileges, prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies according to privileges, and provides ongoing patient/family and staff education. Collaboration with all members of the healthcare team, including family, is essential, as is timely and thorough documentation and efficient communication of reports.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies.
  • Current, valid Florida APRN or PA license.
  • Current, valid DEA license.
  • ANCC, AANP (or equivalent) or NCCPA Certification.
  • Current BLS and ACLS required.
