About The Position

The APRN or PA-C, under the supervision of the Physician(s), who acts as the collaborative practitioner, is responsible for performing physical examinations as needed and monitoring cardiology & interventional cardiology patients in the clinic and hospital setting in East Orlando: new patient visits, pre-& post-procedure care, follow up. The candidate will see patients independently and support hospital call, order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory, X-ray, etc. They will monitor the patient's course of treatment and make appropriate referrals to either a physician or specialist, as needed. Collaboration with physician and staff is necessary to provide consistent care to patients and support to staff. The candidate must display a caring and professional attitude at all times as well as maintain personal and professional growth. Additionally, the candidate must be able to pass a third-party background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant studies.
  • 2-3 years' experience in cardiology.
  • Current, valid Florida APRN or PA license.
  • ANCC, AANP or NCCPA certification required.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification.
