Re-houses and examines archival materials for preservation concerns and creates content lists of new collection materials so the collection can be cataloged and made ready for research use. Please Note: This position provides an excellent educational opportunity for those working on degrees in the social sciences and humanities to gain real-world experience working in archives preparing collections for research use. It applies core archival practices, theories, software, and digital platforms involved in arranging, describing, cataloging, and creating finding aids for collection access and public use. Due to the constant influx of new archival material into the AHC, a consistent student presence is required to maintain workflow and avoid backlogs. Therefore, this position requires the incumbent to maintain a schedule that allows them to spend between a minimum of ten (10) hours per week to a maximum of twenty (20) hours per week at the AHC performing their assigned duties.
