About the position
The role of the Pediatric Advanced Life Support Instructor reports to the Training and Development Manager. This position is responsible for providing exceptional quality instruction for both WRMS staff and community members.
Responsibilities
- Ability to be the primary instructor in at least one of the following disciplines: BLS, ACLS, PALS
- Complete designated documentation as required by the WR AHA Training Center
- Communicate and remediate students as needed
- Answer students’ questions in an accurate and appropriate manner
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, required
- Graduate of an accredited teaching or nursing program, preferred
- Paramedic or Nursing Licensure, preferred
- Current AHA BLS Provider or Instructor Certification, required
- Current AHA ACLS or PALS Provider or Instructor Certification, preferred
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a medical field with preferred experience in providing education to both lay and medical personnel
Nice-to-haves
- Applicants with valid experience or background without a current AHA Instructor Certification will be considered for our ‘Instructor Course Training Program’
