About The Position

Position Overview: This role will assist in managing the day-today operations of the facility according to divisional objectives, to provide patrons with prompt, courteous and effective service while maintaining the efficiency necessary to achieve a maximum margin of profit. Duties and Responsibilities: Include but are not limited to Assist in managing the workforce through responsible training and clear job assignment and explanation Build relationships with the customer base and key suppliers Assist in establishing and implementing short-term goals that are consistent with long range plans for growth in operation, including facility, equipment, and personnel Communicate with manager and utilize additional resources (other branch managers, credit, marketing, human resources, etc.) to maximize profitability Maintain a safe working environment Ensure that department facilities and equipment meet all federal, state, and OSHA regulations Help maintain inventories to ensure service with minimum delivery delays, while maintaining inventory turn goals Assist with handling tasks for assigned accounts Skills and Qualifications: Must understand basic business principals of inventory management and personnel supervision Demonstrated strong leadership and organizational skills Possess a class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement and category 1A applicators license, or ability to obtain Excellent customer relations and service skills Experience leading safety and business improvement strategies. Detail oriented with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be a team player and enjoy the effort necessary to contribute to a successful operation and company. Ability and desire to solve problems in the fields of our customers. Possess a relative knowledge of crop diagnostics, crop protection, seed and fertility. Farming experience helpful. Computer proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid driver’s license; must be able to meet a Motor Vehicle Review in accordance with Company policy. Must obtain and maintain required state commercial applicator certification as required by state. Minimum Class B with Hazmat endorsement. Requirements
