About The Position
CDL Driver – Seasonal Country Visions Cooperative is looking to hire seasonal Class A or B CDL Drivers for agronomy at our Ripon location. We are offering a flexible schedule for part-time opportunities. The Spring Season is highly dependent on weather, typically starting in early April and ending around the Fourth of July holiday. Poor weather or field conditions will result in some unpredictable days off throughout the season. Country Visions Cooperative is an agriculture based cooperative dedicated to service and building long-term relationships from generation to generation. We are proud to trace our roots back to 1923. Work with excellent team members in the shop, in the fields, and in the office! COMPENSATION Competitive pay – $21 to $25+ per hour with a valid Class A CDL, and dependent upon experience
Requirements
- Prior experience is preferred but not required
- Must possess, or be able to obtain a Tanker Endorsement and a valid Class A or B CDL.
- Must have a clean driving record
- Clearly communicate both written and verbal
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and repair as necessary
- Ability to read maps and follow directions
- Ability to lift 60 pounds
Responsibilities
- Deliver seed, dry fertilizer, liquid fertilizer, premixed chemicals or packaged products with a pickup truck, straight dry or liquid tender or semi-truck with a hopper bottom or liquid tanker
- Tendering dry and liquid products to applicators operating application equipment in the fields
- Grain season includes farm pickups of commodity crops and or inter company transferring of loads
- Successful work independently or in a team environment
- Working with fertilizer and chemicals
