About The Position
The position is asked to perform a wide variety of tasks. These tasks may include hauling agricultural products to other branches and/or customer locations, general maintenance of equipment and the facility, operate forklifts and/or skid loader, work with anhydrous ammonia and provide support as directed by the branch manager.
Requirements
- Agriculture and / or farming experience
- Ability to read and write
- Knowledge of basic mechanics
- Ability to operate a vehicle with a manual transmission
- Ability to operate a forklift and skid loader
- Ability to follow established processes
- Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of individuals
- Ability to handle multiple tasks
- Valid Driver’s license, Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement preferred
- Able to sit, bend and reach overhead as part of daily activities
- Able to lift 60+ lbs
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a straight truck with a manual two-speed transmission
- Deliver anhydrous ammonia
- Haul crop protection products and seed
- Assist in the maintenance of trucks and equipment
- Maintenance of the office area, shop and grounds
- All other general duties as needed
