About The Position
Applicator/Driver – Seasonal (part and full-time weekly hours) Country Visions Cooperative is looking to hire Spring Season Applicators (driver) for our Chilton, Wisconsin location. Whether you want to work a full schedule, over-time or a limited schedule per week (including weekdays, weekends, or both), we are flexible in finding something that works for you. The Spring Season is highly dependent on weather, typically starting in early April and ending around the Fourth of July holiday. Country Visions Cooperative is an agriculture based cooperative dedicated to service and building long-term relationships from generation to generation. We are proud to trace our roots back to 1923. Work with excellent team members in the shop, in the fields, and in the office! COMPENSATION Competitive pay – a base of $21.00 up to $30.00+ per hour. Base pay is dependent upon having a valid WI Custom Applicator license, a valid Class A CDL, and prior experience If needed, we will help you obtain an Applicator’s license and CDL, and provide a 100% reimbursement JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Operate self-propelled equipment to make fertilizer and/or chemical applications to crops in farm fields during the growing season Make accurate and timely applications and understand the products being used Make deliveries of liquid and dry fertilizers or other products with pickup, straight, and semi-trucks Successful work independently or in a team environment HOURS Spring season hours of operation range from 5:00 am to 8:00 pm Daily hours to match your schedule needs, weather permitting We can offer a full schedule with over-time or a schedule with limited daily hours, and anything in between Let us know your desired schedule during the interview process Qualifications
Requirements
- Prior experience is preferred but not required
- Must possess, or be able to obtain a Wisconsin Commercial Pesticide Operators License and a valid Class A CDL. Don’t have these, no problem! Country Visions Cooperative offers 100% reimbursement
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Conscientious attitude and attention to detail are essential
- Must possess computer skills adequate to operate equipment field computers
- Ability to read maps and follow directions
- Ability to lift 60 pounds
