The Ag Repair Foreman visualizes, reasons through and plans details of a job without direction supervision. They will use job knowledge, judgment, and ingenuity. Problems involving the set-up and routine maintenance of complex receiving equipment requires the assessment of correct tools, materials and equipment. Principle accountabilities include but are not limited to: Performs jobs including the use of tools or instruments, equipment adjustments, alignment, equipment installation, fabrication, and equipment maintenance. Uses cutting torch and welder to fabricate to precise layout. During harvest, the primary function is to perform, supervise and assist other maintenance personnel in maintenance storage activities. Provides coverage during breaks. Will also be communicating with others to establish appropriate priorities. Ensures operation of piling equipment in a manner contributing to good beet storage conditions Supervises operation of piling equipment at piling site in a manner that ensures good beet storage conditions. Supervises Ag Repair Crew. Facilitates rapport among employees and provides safety and operational training. Ensures a clean and safe worksite is maintained.
