The Martin Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment Family and Consumer Sciences Extension Unit seeks an Extension Specialist for Substance Use Prevention and Recovery that will support community education and outreach that promotes prevention, recovery support, and family resilience. This position will work with Extension Specialists, County Extension Agents, and community partners to identify, adapt, and deliver evidence-based programs and resources. Focus areas include youth and family prevention education, recovery-supportive environments, reducing stigma, and connecting individuals and families to local resources. The specialist will provide training and technical assistance to county personnel and assist with program evaluation and continuous improvement. A master's degree in a related field and experience in community health, substance use prevention, or recovery support is preferred. This position is soft-funded.
