Seneca Foods in Janesville, WI, is currently seeking an Agricultural Equipment Mechanic to join our team. Ability to operate, troubleshoot, maintain and repair a variety of Agriculture equipment. Supervise assigned Seasonal employees during seasonal harvest operations. Overhaul and rebuild equipment during the non-processing season.

Requirements

  • Must have valid driver’s license. A CDL would be beneficial.
  • Basic use of hand and power tools is required. Must have own hand tools.
  • Welding and fabrication skills would be a plus.
  • High School education or equivalent. Some post-high school education or training would be beneficial.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to read and write the English language.
  • Reliability and dependability are a must.
  • Can work extended shifts and work weeks during the harvest season.

Nice To Haves

  • A CDL would be beneficial.
  • Welding and fabrication skills would be a plus.
  • Some post-high school education or training would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, maintain and repair a variety of Agricultural equipment.
  • Troubleshoot breakdowns to determine the cause of the operating problems.
  • Make necessary repairs, modifications, and upgrades to mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems for diesel fueled equipment.
  • Supervise assigned seasonal employees during seasonal harvest operations.
  • Overhaul and rebuild equipment during the non-processing season.
