The position is responsible for planning and providing appropriate classroom learning experiences for students, ensuring an environment conducive to their intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development. The role includes supervising students in various school-related settings, monitoring and evaluating student outcomes, and communicating with students, parents, staff, and the community. The educator will develop, select, and modify instructional plans and materials to meet the needs of all students while maintaining appropriate records and following required procedures. Additionally, the position involves monitoring the use and care of equipment, materials, and facilities.

  • Plan and provide appropriate classroom learning experiences for students.

  • Monitor and evaluate student outcomes.
  • Communicate and interact with students, parents, staff, and the community.
  • Develop, select, and modify instructional plans and materials to meet student needs.
  • Maintain appropriate records and follow required procedures and practices.

  • Utilize assessment strategies aligned with curriculum and standards.
  • Engage in continuous professional quality improvement.
  • Implement classroom instructional strategies that reflect students' cultures and learning styles.
  • Collaborate with peers, parents, and community stakeholders for continuous improvement.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education with appropriate subject area.
  • Hold or be qualified to hold a North Carolina Professional Educator’s License in a teaching content area.
  • Extensive knowledge of curriculum and effective classroom instructional practices.
  • Considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Apps.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prepare course objectives and outlines following curriculum guidelines.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students.
  • Ability to maintain order and discipline in a classroom.
  • Master’s degree in a specific subject area.
