About The Position

The Agile ScrumMaster oversees the execution of strategic initiatives that support the modernization of systems engineering and systems integration activities on BAE Systems' Strategic Systems Program (SSP) work. This key role facilitates the development, execution, and monitoring of strategic initiatives while ensuring successful capability transfer to program lines. Working directly with the Dir/Strategy and Engineering (Dir/S&E), the Agile ScrumMaster leads strategic planning, conducts strategy workshops, implements Agile methodologies, and manages Navy SSP program requirements and BAE Systems processes to deliver high-impact results in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and at least 4 years of related/relevant work experience.
  • Prior experience mentoring teams and providing direction during ambiguous situations.
  • Experience applying Agile development techniques to manage initiative portfolios.
  • Experience managing Scrum teams using Kanban techniques with working knowledge of Confluence and Jira.
  • Experience developing and maintaining program schedules.
  • Proven ability to develop, track, and manage budgets for strategic initiatives.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Systems Engineering or related technical field.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar Agile certification.
  • Strong relationship-building skills across internal organizational boundaries.
  • Experience with Navy acquisition processes and requirements.
  • Experience with BAE Systems' project management infrastructure and processes.
  • Knowledge and experience with the Navy's SSP program.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the development, execution, and monitoring of strategic initiatives.
  • Lead strategic planning and conduct strategy workshops.
  • Implement Agile methodologies and manage Navy SSP program requirements.
  • Oversee multiple Agile projects simultaneously while maintaining alignment to strategic and business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain program schedules, identifying critical paths and implementing corrective actions.
  • Develop, track, and manage budgets for strategic initiatives, including cost estimation and financial forecasting.
  • Analyze resource requirements, allocate personnel effectively across initiatives, and optimize resource utilization.
