The Role: The Agile Release Train (ART) Lead is a servant leader and coach for the ART. They are responsible for facilitating ART-level coordination events and processes, and for supporting agile teams in consistently delivering value. The ART Lead engages with stakeholders, escalates and helps resolve impediments, and actively manages cross-team dependencies and risks. The ideal candidate exemplifies GM behaviors and competencies. They are passionate about leading the organization forward and shaping the processes, tools, and methods that enhance our agility. They are an active listener who can effectively facilitate meetings and discussions, and they remain adaptable as the Vehicle Mechatronic Embedded Controls (VMEC) organization evolves and adopts scaled agile practices. As an ART Lead, you will have the opportunity to support your agile teams by providing coaching and guidance. You will be expected to lead by example, challenge the status quo and promote an environment of continuous improvement, experimentation, and innovation. With your excellent listening skills, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills, you will help VMEC continue to implement work methods required to advance an agile software development team.
