About the position

The Project Manager will be responsible for establishing and directing Non IT projects initiated by the Accountable Executive. This role involves directing large-scale, complex projects that often involve multiple internal and external constituents and matrix partners. The Project Manager is accountable for defining, planning, orchestrating, and delivering assigned strategic projects, including all business, operational, and Non IT deliverables. They will manage all aspects of the project lifecycle and work with matrix business, corporate, and IT partners to oversee all phases of the project, ensuring that related project processes are completed as required. The Project Manager will build and sustain day-to-day relationships and communications with stakeholders at various levels of the organization, including executive levels, and ensure that end results are of the highest caliber with a clearly articulated scope and quantifiable business benefit.

Responsibilities

  • Directs large-scale, complex projects involving multiple internal and external constituents.
  • Defines, plans, orchestrates, and delivers assigned strategic projects.
  • Manages all aspects of the project lifecycle.
  • Builds and sustains relationships and communications with stakeholders.
  • Ensures end results meet quality standards and business benefits.
  • Chairs regular core team and governance forums to review project progress.
  • Manages project scope to ensure commitments are achieved within time, cost, and quality parameters.
  • Defines and tracks project milestones and develops integrated delivery plans.
  • Monitors and controls the project, proposing recommendations to the Accountable Executive.
  • Contributes to improving best practices in project management.

Requirements

  • Experience in Deposits (Retail banking/Online Banking).
  • Experience in Financial Services/Banking.
  • Experience working on corporate payments or client onboarding projects.
  • Experience supporting both Agile and Waterfall related projects.
  • Experience working for a PMO.
  • Experience managing multiple projects (2-3) and large budgets (millions).
  • Experience managing technology projects from the business side.
  • Strong relationship management and consulting skills.
  • Change leadership and management skills.
  • Risk management skills.
  • Ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization.
  • Stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Good presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
