The Agile Product Owner Advisor at Express Scripts plays a crucial role in representing the "voice of the customer" at the team level. This position is responsible for maintaining and prioritizing the Product Backlog to ensure that the team focuses on stories that maximize business value and deliver necessary fixes and functionality to all customers. The ideal candidate will possess strong business acumen and experience, ideally with some background in working with technology teams, or at least a willingness to learn how to collaborate effectively with them. As a Business Product Owner, this role is accountable to the Operational leaders in PBM Services for driving transformational IT Product initiatives that deliver strategic solutions and ensure product health and stability. The primary responsibility of this position involves the development associated with Medicare Regulatory File Submission Optimization, which supports cross-functional teams through file management, tracking, workflow, and reporting applications. Soliciting requirements from both the business and clients is crucial for success in this role. The Agile Product Owner Advisor will drive business strategies into prioritized initiatives for the IT teams, alongside business configuration teams, while also being able to respond to urgent issues in their specific function without losing sight of longer-term deliverables. This position may lead internal cross-department IT initiatives and participate in cross-functional initiatives for Express Scripts. Essential functions include working directly with business capability leads to identify, understand, and prioritize user stories aligned with epics, establishing success criteria, and measuring progress and value delivered. The Agile Product Owner Advisor will have decision-making authority as the final arbiter of intake requirements and delivery acceptance criteria. Collaboration with the TPO, scrum team leads, and business capability leads is essential to maximize value from the delivery of prioritized user stories. Additionally, this role involves working with IT Product Owners and other Business Product Owners on backlog prioritization across business products, as well as collaborating with the agile team to understand requirements and find optimal solutions to user problems.
