About The Position

Base-2 Solutions is seeking an Agile Developer 3 responsible for the full-stack development of cloud-based applications and microservices. This role supports application development, API and datastore integration, software modernization, and team leadership in an Agile environment.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph, with a CI Polygraph within the last 7 years.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• 9 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree plus 7 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Java, JavaScript frameworks such as React, GitLab, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, and modern datastores including NoSQL, relational, and object stores.
• Demonstrated full-stack development experience across front-end, APIs, and backing datastores.
• Demonstrated experience with Spring Boot microservices, 12-Factor applications, JSON and/or BSON serialization, and CI/CD pipelines.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Spring, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Swagger, and AWS managed services.
• Familiarity with system requirements decomposition, release planning, CI/CD, test frameworks and automation, Agile methodology, and FOSS/GOTS.

Responsibilities

• Perform full-stack development of cloud-based applications and microservices.
• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
• Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features.
• Debug existing software and correct defects.
• Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
• Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories.
• Provide recommendations to improve documentation and software development process standards.
• Develop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards.
• Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components.
• Write or review software and system documentation.
• Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, system flow, data usage, and work processes.
• Serve as team lead at the level appropriate to the software development process used on the project.
• Modify existing software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, or improve performance.
• Design, develop, and modify software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models.
• Design or implement complex database or data repository interfaces and queries.
