About The Position

The primary objective of the Agile Coach role at FedEx is to assess and implement Agile team structures, provide coaching and support to Scrum Masters, and facilitate the adoption of Agile principles and practices across various teams. This position is crucial in ensuring that Agile methodologies are effectively integrated into the organization, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and value delivery. In this role, the Agile Coach will conduct initial assessments of Agile teams and recommend appropriate team structures that align with Agile principles. The coach will mentor and support Scrum Masters in various aspects of Agile development, including the Scrum Framework, effective communication, conflict management, impediment removal, and fostering self-organization and shared leadership among team members. Additionally, the Agile Coach will provide structured and ad-hoc training in Agile principles, Product Ownership, and Program Management as needed, ensuring that all team members are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge. Key contributions of the Agile Coach include providing change agent leadership by leveraging Agile, SAFe, and Lean principles, and offering education to employees at all levels, including core product roles and leaders. The Agile Coach will develop and deliver workshops and sessions that teach valuable skills, fostering an organization-wide culture of value delivery and continuous improvement. They will also conduct assessments and provide recommendations for Agile maturity strategy roadmaps to support the business in achieving its goals. The Agile Coach will share insights from the SAFe transformation journey and guide various areas of the organization through their transition to Agile ways of working. They will create an environment of continuous improvement by using data to solve root issues and identify areas lacking in Agile, SAFe, Lean, and QDM principle adoption. Furthermore, the Agile Coach will evaluate and coach individuals, teams, ARTs, and value streams to ensure the correct application of the Agile framework and recommend action plans accordingly. Collaboration with stakeholders to identify specific areas of training and coaching will also be a key responsibility, along with sharing the latest design thinking and innovation ideas from Agile and SAFe communities with the organization.
