About The Position

The Agile Coach position at West Bend focuses on mentoring and supporting Agile teams, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and stakeholders in adopting Agile practices and principles. The role involves fostering a learning culture through training and workshops, assisting teams in developing Agile artifacts, and scaling Agile practices across the organization. The Agile Coach will evaluate team performance and maturity, serve as a change agent, and contribute to the Agile community both internally and externally.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience execution as an Agile Coach, Scrum Master, or Product Owner/Manager in a software development environment using Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.
  • Advanced knowledge of Agile frameworks and principles.
  • Excellent coaching, mentoring, and facilitation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to influence without positional authority.
  • Strong leadership, emotional intelligence, and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to changing business environment.
  • Problem-solving and analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Passion for helping teams successfully deliver high-quality products.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
  • Certification as a Certified Scrum Master, Certified Agile Coach, SAFe Program Consultant, or similar is preferred.
  • Experience scaling Agile practices across an organization.

Responsibilities

  • Coach, mentor, and support Agile teams, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Agile practices, principles, and values.
  • Collaborate with teams to identify and address challenges hindering Agile adoption, implementation, and maturity.
  • Create a learning culture by providing training sessions and workshops on Agile methodologies and best practices.
  • Help teams develop Agile approaches and artifacts such as roadmaps, feature and user stories, story mapping, estimation, and prioritization techniques.
  • Assist in scaling Agile practices across multiple teams and departments.
  • Evaluate team performance and Agile maturity and recommend improvements to be a high performing team.
  • Serve as a change agent to foster an Agile mindset and culture within the organization.
  • Actively contribute to the Agile community within the organization and externally.
