About The Position

Join our team at Latham Limestone and take on a dynamic role where you’ll keep our modern, well-maintained equipment running smoothly while operating in a fast-paced aggregate production environment. This position blends equipment operation, plant maintenance, and hands-on mechanical work. We value mechanically inclined, safety-focused individuals who can work independently and adapt quickly to changing priorities. While prior aggregate industry experience is preferred, we are open to training highly skilled candidates from other industries.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license.
Mechanical aptitude with proven repair/maintenance skills.
Ability to work independently and meet production goals.
Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable working in outdoor conditions, including extreme weather.
Ability to climb stairs/ladders up to 24 feet.
Flexible schedule with availability for overtime and weekends if needed.

Nice To Haves

Previous heavy equipment operating experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

Operate a front-end loader to feed the aggregate processing plant.
Perform pre-shift inspections and daily equipment safety checks.
Occasionally operate a programmable logic controller (PLC) system for plant processes.
Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on plant equipment.
Replace or repair conveyor systems, screens, and other mechanical components.
Fabricate and weld parts as needed.
Safely operate various power and hand tools, including cutting tools.
Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Follow all company safety policies and operational procedures.
Identify and communicate potential hazards.
