About The Position
The North Area Manager at Tilcon New York Inc. is responsible for overseeing the performance and management of south aggregate operations, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. This role is pivotal in driving operational performance and improvements to meet or exceed company and regional goals. The manager will challenge existing assumptions and processes to enhance performance and develop departmental standards aligned with company best practices and operational excellence. Communication and collaboration are key, as the manager will work to drive business synergies and provide analyses of monthly reporting data to identify strengths and opportunities. In addition to operational oversight, the North Area Manager will prepare budgets for approval and manage costs effectively within the Operations department. They will develop ongoing action plans based on operational and statistical analyses, monitor daily performance metrics, and review production-related reports to ensure targets are met. The manager will also prepare capital expenditure design submittals and engage in strategic planning, including the development of detailed mine plans. Risk mitigation across all company activities is a critical aspect of this role. As a leader, the North Area Manager will embody and communicate the core values, culture, vision, and aspirations of Tilcon New York Inc. They will build and support teams, promote a safe working culture, and provide leadership to the entire Operations team, from Plant Managers to field workers. The manager will reinforce policies and procedures that align with the company's goals and operational needs while ensuring safety results are achieved. Furthermore, the role involves supporting the recruitment, development, and diversity of current and future talent, fostering an environment that encourages excellence and personal growth for all Operations employees.
