Learn more at tandemdiabetes.com A DAY IN THE LIFE: This Intern supports the product analytics team as they transition to agentic development and agentic analytics to increase productivity and predictive analytics for Tandems products. This role is intended for a student with a background in computer science or data science and a strong interest in agentic development. The intern will work alongside analysts, data scientists and statisticians to reengineer analytics processes by leveraging agentic development principles —while ensuring alignment with cybersecurity and regulatory requirements applicable to medical devices.

Requirements

  • Excitement about applying agentic development.
  • Strong analytical thinker.
  • Programming knowledge in relevant languages such as SQL and Python.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative team environment.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills appropriate for technical discussions.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Currently enrolled as a junior or senior in a Bachelor’s degree program in Data Science Computer Science or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Intern experience in related environment, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design and experimentation of agentic analytics workflows, including automated insights, anomaly detection, and dashboard generation.
  • Assist in documenting current-state analytics processes and identifying opportunities for automation or agent-based augmentation.
  • Develop agent skills in Databricks to automate common workflows.
  • Setup integrations with common analytics tools.
  • Test and validate agentic systems and workflows.
  • Contribute to best-practice documentation for trustworthy, interpretable, and scalable agentic analytics.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies, including Privacy/HIPAA, and other legal and regulatory requirements.
